Terms of Service

Buying a ticket

A ticket admits one person to the performance, date and time printed on it. Seating is reserved: the seats shown at checkout are the seats you are buying. Prices are in US dollars, and the confirmation email we send is your receipt.

All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for another night.

If we cancel a performance, or move it to a date you cannot attend, you get a full refund to the card you paid with. You do not need to ask.

Dinner is not included in the price of a ticket. Food and drink are ordered from the menu on the night and paid for separately.

Before the performance

We may ask when you would like to be seated and what you are thinking of ordering. This helps the kitchen prepare and is not a reservation or a promise — a seating time is what we will aim at, not a guarantee.

The evening

Door and set times are our best estimate of how the evening will run. The programme and the musicians on it can change at short notice — illness and travel are ordinary in live music — and a change of personnel is not grounds for a refund.

We may refuse admission, or ask someone to leave, where conduct or safety requires it. No refund is given in that case. Photo ID is required to be served alcohol.

Performances at the venue are sometimes photographed or recorded. By attending you accept that you may appear in the background of images we use to promote the venue.

Nights sold by someone else

Some performances are ticketed through Square or SimpleTix rather than by us. Those purchases are also governed by that company's own terms, and any refund owed under this policy is processed through them.

Your account and your order link

An account is optional. If you have one, you are responsible for what happens under it.

The confirmation email contains a link that opens your order. Treat it as you would the ticket itself — anyone holding that link can see and use the booking.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our liability for any claim arising from a ticket is limited to the amount you paid for that ticket.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute belongs to the courts of Santa Barbara County.

Privacy Policy

This covers thegrandonstate.com and the ticketing pages we run ourselves.

What we collect

We never see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by Stripe, and the card details go to them, not to us.

Why we collect it

To sell you a ticket and admit you to the room. To tell the kitchen what to prepare and when. To send your confirmation and, if a performance is cancelled, to reach you. To send the newsletter, if you asked for it — every one carries a one-click unsubscribe, and we act on it immediately.

Who else sees it

Stripe processes payments. MailerSend delivers confirmation emails. MailerLite sends the newsletter and receives only people who signed up for it. Clerk manages accounts. Vercel, Neon and Cloudflare host the site and its database.

Performances ticketed through Square or SimpleTix are bought on their systems, and what you give them is collected under their policies rather than this one.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Your choices

Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and it takes effect immediately.

To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email [email protected]. We are a small business and fall below the thresholds at which the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, but we will honour those requests anyway.

Tracking

We do not track you across other websites, and we do not let anyone else do so through ours. Because there is nothing of that kind running, a Do Not Track signal from your browser does not change what we do.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

Access to order and guest information is limited to venue staff who need it. Something you tell us in confidence — an allergy, a medical note — is shown to the people preparing your table and is never included in any export or report.

Changes to this page

We may revise this page. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published at the time you bought, identified by the version and effective date at the top. Material changes will be described here.
