Liz Cole is a Los Angeles–based jazz vocalist celebrated for her warm, expressive sound, inventive phrasing, and playful connection to a lyric. Raised in a musical California household, she began on trumpet before discovering her passion for singing. Her repertoire blends Great American Songbook favorites with Brazilian music, blues, and lesser-known gems, giving familiar songs a fresh and personal character. Her debut album, I Want to Be Happy, features an all-star cast of Los Angeles musicians, including Larry Koonse, Otmaro Ruiz, Jacob Mann, Darek Oles, Edwin Livingston, Jonathan Richards, Aarón Serfaty, and Jackson Irvine. Cole has also performed with Joe LaBarbera and Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band.
