Led by Central Coast native guitarist and educator Will Luton, the Will Luton Quintet adds a modern twist to straight-ahead jazz. Composed of the next generation of jazz musicians including UCSB students Sriram Ramamurthy, Megan Etzel, and local drummer, bandleader, and educator Matt Perko, this group honors the jazz tradition while blending their sound with modern influences such as Chick Corea, Kurt Rosenwinkle, and Kenny Garrett.
