Caelan Cardello
Award-winning Pianist
Originally from Teaneck, New Jersey, pianist Caelan Cardello began studying classical and jazz piano at age five. A graduate of Jazz House Kids, William Paterson University, and The Juilliard School, he has studied with such renowned artists as Fred Hersch, Dave Kikoski, Harold Mabern, and Bill Charlap.
Cardello has performed at leading venues and festivals around the world, including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland, Tokyo’s Cotton Club, Newport, Monterey, Marciac, and Nice. Career highlights include music directing the Sarah Vaughan Centennial Concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center, performing with Christian McBride’s Newport at 70 ensemble, and appearing in 92NY’s Jazz in July series.
A finalist in the Herbie Hancock International Piano Competition and the American Pianists Awards, Cardello now performs and tours with his own trio and quartet.
